The RSPCA’s appealing for information after a cat was shot in Chelmsford.

QT, a seven-year-old siamese cat, is recovering from a life saving operation. The pellet had gone through her liver and narrowly missed her rib cage.

It happened in the Howe Green area of Chelmsford and left her owner Hedy Gordon worried.

Vets removed the pellet and QT was kept in for observation, but has since been able to return home.

“It is heartbreaking to hear what has happened to QT , it’s just so lucky that she managed to find her way home despite being injured. I am appealing to the public for any information to this incident. I would be keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this, or may know who was responsible. Any information will be treated in confidence.”
