More than one hundred purrfect competitors competed in the 63rd year in the Rock Valley Cat Show.
Organizers say they start planning this show a year in advance. There were also lots of vendors selling fun things for cats, as well as sharing information about good ways to care for them.
Organizers say a lot of local people entered their household pets in addition to pedigree cats. Entry fees were about $50 to $60. The fee goes to the cat club as well as different humane organizations.
“There are a lot of spectators who come every year, year after year to see the breeds, some of the cats that are still here that they saw last year, but they almost know some of the exhibitors by name because they come back every year from this area,” said Rock Valley Cat Club member Chris Buck.
The cat show also continues tomorrow from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
